According to The Sun UK, English Premier League clubs are interested in signing Hammarby's Nigeria youth international Akinkunmi Amoo.
The identity of the Premier League clubs has not been revealed but the report added that obtaining a work permit could be a stumbling block to a move to England as he has yet to make his senior debut for Nigeria.
Amoo was the star of the Golden Eaglets squad to the
2019 FIFA U17 World Cup, notching assists in each of his last three
games before the five-time world champions exited the tournament in the
round of sixteen.
Blessed with a low center of gravity and dribbling skills, the left-footed Sidos Academy product has been nicknamed 'Little Messi' in his homeland.
"I usually hear that I play as Leo Messi, so I am sometimes called 'Little Messi'. That is my role model," Amoo told Swedish newspaper Expressen last year.
Amoo caught the eye in his first full season at Hammarby, scoring nine goals and setting up five others in 29 matches in the Allsvenskan.
The 19-year-old is capable of playing as a right winger, attacking midfielder and support striker.
