Nigeria international Paul Onuachu is targeting two Trabzonspor records before the end of the 2025–26 season, according to various reports in the Turkish press.
The towering centre-forward currently tops the Süper Lig scoring charts with 20 goals in 22 matches.
Following his brace in Monday’s 3–1 victory over Kayserispor, Onuachu equalled Burak Yılmaz’s record of scoring in seven consecutive league matches.
According to Taka Gazete, the Nigerian will become the first player since the 1991–92 season to score in eight consecutive league games for Trabzonspor if he finds the net against Rizespor this Saturday.
The last player to achieve the feat was Hami Mandıralı in the 1991–92 season.
Onuachu can also become the foreign player with the most goals in a single Süper Lig season for Trabzonspor if he scores six more goals in the remaining weeks of the campaign.
The current record is held by Georgian legend Shota Arveladze, who netted 25 goals in the 1995–96 season.
Eight of Onuachu’s 20 league goals have come from headers, and with two more, he would surpass his personal record for headed goals in a single season, set at FC Midtjylland in 2016–17.
