Through official channels, Ipswich Town have announced that Nigeria-eligible forward Jayden Adetiba has signed his first professional contract with Ipswich Town.
According to EFL regulations, all U17 players are required to begin the 2025-2026 season on scholarship terms, enabling them to continue their development within a club's academy before becoming eligible to sign a professional contract upon turning 17.
Adetiba was included in Ipswich Town’s intake of academy scholars for the upcoming season, with his deal now upgraded to professional terms.
Born in 2009, Adetiba is a product of Arsenal's renowned Hale End Academy.
He joined the Tractor Boys following his release by the Gunners, bringing an end to a seven-year association with the North London club, which began when he was just nine years old.
Since arriving at Portman Road, the forward has made appearances in both the U18 Premier League and the FA Youth Cup.
He was also named in the squad for Ipswich Town's U21 Premier League Cup match against Charlton Athletic at The Valley in November, although he remained an unused substitute.
On the international stage, the Dartford native represented the United Arab Emirates at the 2025 Fifa U17 World Cup, featuring in three matches during the tournament in Qatar.
Adetiba's professional contract marks a significant milestone in his young career as he continues his development at Ipswich Town.
