With a statement on the official website, Randers have confirmed that Super Eagles striker Stephen Odey will leave the Danish Superliga club when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Odey initially joined Randers on loan during the 2021-2022 season with an option to buy included in the deal, before signing a permanent transfer following his outstanding performances for the East Jutland club.
During his four -and-a-half-year stay with the club, the centre-forward tallied 28 goals in 129 matches.
The autumn of 2021 marked Odey’s major breakthrough at Randers, with his six goals across the Superliga, Europa Conference League and cup competition earning him the 3F Superliga Player of the Month award for October.
Odey has been a key presence for the Randers squad, contributing both on the pitch with his hard work and off it by bringing energy and positivity to the dressing room.
"I have really enjoyed my time here in Randers. It has been a fantastic period with fantastic people at the club - from the staff and management to the players and fans," Odey said.
"I have been here for many years, through both good and bad times, and I will really miss the club - but that is life in football.
"I wish the team all the best for the rest of the season."
On his curriculum vitae, Odey lists Mountain of Fire, FC Zurich, Racing Genk and Amiens as his previous clubs.
