Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand reckons that Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Daniel James stand to benefit if Odion Ighalo is signed on a permanent basis.
The former England international likened Ighalo's experience to Henrik Larsson's, adding that the Swede's arrival in 2007 was positive for Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha.
The former Nigeria international has had a dream start to his Manchester United career, scoring four goals in his first three starts.
"Rashford, when he’s fit, will appreciate playing with someone like this,’ Ferdinand was quoted as saying by Metro.
"He can have the impact on the Rashfords, on the Martials, on Daniel James etc. that someone like Henrik Larsson can have on the likes of [Wayne] Rooney and [Louis] Saha when he was there.
"That little bit of experience. ‘He’s got something that’s different to all the other guys in the team and you need that sometimes".
Ighalo's deal with Shanghai Shenhua runs out at the end of the 2021 season.
