Siphiwe Tshabalala Feeling Confident Ahead Nigeria Clash
Published: August 14, 2013South Africa international midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala is positive Bafana Bafana can churn out a victory against African champions Nigeria when both teams lock horns this evening at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
'' It is going to be a tough match, we know they are a quality side but it is also an opportunity for us to rise to the occasion and make the nation proud.
'' This is not just another game; we will be facing the African champions in honour of former South African president Nelson Mandela, so this is a very important match for us,'' Siphiwe Tshabalala was quoted as saying by Times Live.
The Kaizer Chiefs star continued : '' I believe we will give a good account of ourselves even though we know that Nigeria is a very experienced and tough side.
'' I am confident it will be a good game and we will be on the winning side. ''
The Super Eagles have not lost to South Africa in the last nine years. Incidentally, that defeat , a 2- 1 loss came in the 10th Edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge.
