Arsenal left-back Cam'ron Ismail has been left out of Egypt's squad for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Young Pharaohs coach Osama Nabih has revealed his final 26-man squad for the tournament on home soil and Ismail is not part of the group.

Ismail previously accepted an invitation to train with Egypt’s U19 team  - an indication that he has chosen to represent the North African giants for the time being.

Born and raised in Islington, the 18-year-old has an Egyptian mother and Nigerian father, making him eligible to play for Nigeria, Egypt and England at international level.

With roughly two months remaining on his current deal, the Hale End Academy graduate's future at Arsenal is uncertain as he has yet to sign his first professional contract.

Egypt's squad to the Africa U20 Cup of Nations is headlined by Aston Villa midfielder Omar Khedr, who has been capped at U17, U20 and U23 level by the North Africans.

Egypt will host the Africa U20 Cup of Nations from April 27 to May 18, with the top four teams qualifying for the World Cup in Chile.

The winners and runners-up of the three groups, along with the two best third-placed teams in the three groups, will qualify for the quarter-finals.

According to tournament regulations, the results of the fifth-placed team in Group A will be excluded, and the results of the third-placed teams will be compared to determine the final two places in the quarterfinals.
