Nwankwo Kanu : Nigeria Can Win The World Cup
Nwankwo Kanu, former Nigeria international who retired in 2012, believes the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2014 World Cup and even win the tournament in South America.

Speaking to goal.com, the ex Ajax Amsterdam striker said : ''We are definitely going to the World Cup next year, and we want to win the Cup for Africa.

"We have a good squad that is competent enough to take us to the World Cup and make us shine on the world map.''

Kanu continued: "We want players who are hungry for success and players who will play for the country with pride and dignity. That is the main reason we have such a squad.

''Although we can still have experienced players, nobody owns a space, they all need to work hard.''

Nigeria top African World Cup qualifying Group F with nine points from five matches, and a draw against Malawi next month will be sufficient to qualify for the play - off round.
