Aftermath Fans Ban : Police Raises Security At 3SC Home Games

It was a watertight security at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, home ground of 3SC when the team hosted El-kanemi after serving three matches close door punishment slammed on them by NFF’s O&D following crowd unrest after week 20 of Nigeria Premier League match.
The Divisional Police Officer of Mokola Police Station Ibadan, Akin Oridoye which has where the Ibadan darling team played its home matches within its jurisdiction has assured visiting teams and referees to the arena adequate protection during and after a league matches.
Oridoye, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen after the week 28 Premier League match said the Police has introduced new approach into security arrangement of the venue be screening fans right from the main entrance of the arena.
'' You can see the volume of our men within the premises especially the mobile men and Armor Personnel Vehicle (APC) stationed at a strategic place while spectators are being screened allowed entrance into the stadium.
''That is the method we are going to adopt, so any team coming here to play or referee that might be posted here to officiate can be rest assured of enjoying a first class security,'' the DPO noted.
He however urged soccer fans to put their emotions in check anytime the result of a match is not favourable to them and not foment trouble as Police would not condone any act that capable of breaching the public peace but further assured both home, away teams and officiating officials of adequate Police protection.
Shooting Stars who will play its next home match against ABS FC of Ilorin on Sunday defeated El Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday with second half goals from Raphael Musa and Osaguona Ighodaro.
