Tijani Babangida Wants State Government To Reward Taraba FC Players Over Promotion
Published: August 31, 2013Taraba FC have clinched promotion to the Nigeria Premier League with a hard fought 1 - 0 victory over already promoted Giwa FC on the final day of the National League.
Former Ajax Amsterdam wing wizard Tijani Babangida was appointed chairman of Taraba FC by the State Governor Danbaba Suntai in November 2011, and given a mandate to take the club to the top division within three years.
'' It is a great job by the players and it was not easy.
'' I am so happy with the feat but all thanks go to Allah. Without him, nothing is possible.
'' This is one of the happiest moments both in my career and management .
'' It is now my task to discuss with the State Government on how to reward these hardworking players,'' Tijani Babangida told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
