NFF Supremo, Aminu Maigari Fancies Eagles Chances Away To Ethiopia
Published: October 05, 2013
Ahead of the eagerly anticipated World Cup cracker between African champions Super Eagles and Wayla Antelopes of Ethiopia, Nigeria Federation supremo Aminu Maigari believes Nigeria will scale through to the tournament in Brazil if they get a good result in Addis Ababa next weekend.
Speaking to Brila FM, Maigari said : “The expectation is that if by God’s grace we get a favourable result in Addis Ababa against Ethiopia, then the world cup ticket will be 95% ours ahead of the 2nd leg tie at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar on the 16th of November.”
The Abuja camp of the Eagles will open this coming Monday and most overseas based professionals are expected to start arriving on that date.
Nigeria have not lost to Ethiopia for the past two decades.
