Eddy Onazi Attributes Victory Over Ethiopia To Divine Intervention
Published: October 14, 2013Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi has attributed the Super Eagles 2 - 1 scrappy 2 - 1 win over Ethiopia to divine intervention rather than the tactical genius of manager Stephen Keshi.
For most part of the first half, Nigeria were chasing their own shadows and would have been a goal down if not for a referring error.
Speaking to Brila FM, the 20 - year - old said : “The Ethiopians really lived up to it; they have good players and had the support of the whole country behind them but it was the Grace of God that we won the match.”
Eddy Onazi has 15 international games under his belt since making his debut against Liberia back in October 2012.
