Kayode Olanrewaju Expose: Asec Mimosa Clears Ogunjobi
*FIFA slams Olanrewaju: return to ASEC
*ASEC will drag Olanrewaju to court for damages

From the documents which ASEC Mimosas FC of Abidjan sent to the Nigeria Football Federation directly and another through the Ivorien FA, www.gongnews.net was able to find out that the club made issues clear but the “Mr Fix it” in the NFF were simply desperate to call a dog a bad name so as to hang it.

Olanrewaju Kayode left Asec Mimosas FC to FC Lucerne (a first division team in the Swiss league. His character will not let him. He and the club called the relationship quits. Rather than return to Abidjan, he left for Club Africain in Tunisia. Issues came up.

The NFF wrote the Ivorien club through their FA on 21st August 2013 in a letter signed by Nasiru Jibril NFF TMS Manager for the General Secretary. The club replied through their FA on the 26th August 2013. FIFA Players Status Department was copied.

The FIFA verdict came in a letter dated 2nd September. It was signed by Marco Villiger, the Director of Legal and Omar Ongaro, the Head, Players Status and Governance. They made it clear, Olanrewaju has a subsisting contract with Asec Mimosas.

In a bid to prove their innocence, the club asked certain questions which they wanted the player to answer. They asked:

Does the player deny he has received all his wages in Abidjan? For your information, the player’s salary was one of the highest in the club;

Does the player deny having been housed in Abidjan in a private furnished apartment?

Was the player the one who signed the contract with Swiss first division club, FC Lucerne?

If he was so badly treated, how can he explain that he was returned to Abidjan after the African Nations Cup and World Cup with the u-17 and U-20 Nigerian national team?

To show that the player has no credibility, the club showed in five instances:

a)The player said he has not signed the contract with ASEC Mimosas but we showed you that he has signed these documents, knowingly without any external pressure;

b)FC Lucerne terminated the loan of the player, four months before his term for bad behaviour;

c)The player has informed FC Lucerne he was going back to Abidjan after the termination of his contract. He did not come back and went on trial with other clubs without informing ASEC Mimosas (see email dated 19/09/2012 from FC Lucerne)

d) Despite our numerous letters to the player, the NFF and Heartland FC the player has never responded to ASEC Mimosas, he has not complied with his contract and he signed with another club (Heartland FC) which is not authorized by the regulation of FIFA;

e)The player deliberately uses multiple signatures to fool everyone.

Based on these, ASEC Mimosas concluded:

1)The player cannot deny having signed these amendments in French and English;

2) The player cannot accuse Mr. Taiwo Ogunjobi of having received any amount from the player;

3)The player cannot accuse Mr. Taiwo Ogunjobi of having forced him to sign a contract because he or any agent or intermediary, was not present during these signatures;

4) The player has lied many times which completely undermines his word;

However, the player faces a series of possibilities to be charged to court for damages by ASEC Mimosas due to his repeated refusal to fulfill his contractual obligations with our club, we reserve the right at any time to act against the player or his agent at FIFA or Court of Arbitration in Sports.

In view of the foregoing, we are certainly convinced that some people some where were actually using the player as a pawn in their chess game towards the August 2014 NFF election.
