Suleiman Adekunle Puts Disappointment Of Himara Game Behind Him

Apolonia Fier defender Suleiman Adekunle has put the disappointment of the goalless draw with Himara behind him and is now concentrating on the upcoming meeting with Mamurrasi , a game which corresponds to the ninth round of matches in the Albanian First Division.
Speaking to panorama - sport.com, the 23 - year - old said: “We knew it would be a difficult match, so we were prepared properly in all respects to prevail against Himara. But what happened in the game exceeded expectations for beautiful football.
“ I and my compatriots who play at Apollonia became prey to a very serious game.
“The coach called us to forget and focus on preparing the next match.”
Defender Sodiq Atanda and midfielder ThankGod Anayo are the other Nigerian players on the payroll of Apolonia Fier, who currently occupy the second position in the league.
Five of the thirteen goals scored by Apollonia this season were netted by their Nigerian players.
