Onyekachi Apam Confident Nigeria Can Take Care Of Messi, Aguero
Published: December 16, 2013Reacting to the World Cup draw, Rennes defender Onyekachi Apam has advised the Nigeria Football Federation to organize quality exhibition games if the Super Eagles are to do well in Brazil.
26 - year - old Apam was listed in rosters which confronted Argentina - Group F opponents - in age grade tournaments in the past.
“If we defend together, there is no reason Nigeria can not take care of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.
“It is not only about Argentina, other teams will not be easy too to play against.
“To qualify from this group, we should win as many games as possible.
“We need more quality friendly games before the World Cup, like the last one we played against Italy,” Apam said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Though Onyekachi Apam is now as fit as a fiddle, he has not made a single Ligue 1 appearance this term.
The former Enugu Rangers star last suited up for the Nigeria selection in a pre World Cup friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo on March 3 , 2010.
