Published: January 18, 2014
Ahead of the win or bust meeting with hosts South African in the African Nations Championship on Sunday, the morale of the Super Eagles needs to be improved.
The African champions might be eliminated from the tourney for footballers plying their trade in their domestic leagues even before kicking a ball as the squad is psychologically down.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigeria Football Federation has failed to pay the Super Eagles their daily camp allowances for the past two days.
In the same vein, after the 4 - 2 win over Mozambique on Wednesday, the domestic Eagles were not paid a single dime as win bonus by the Federation.
NFF has claimed that the funds for prosecuting the tournament are trapped, that is approved but not released.
In other words, the number one citizen has not appended his signature on the money that was budgeted, more than a week after the start of the competition.
