Victor Anichebe Salvages Draw For West Brom
Published: February 11, 2014Chelsea lost the chance to move four points clear from rivals Arsenal after they were held to a 1 - 1 draw by West Brom at the Hawthorns on Tuesday.
Ivanovic had put Chelsea’s noses in front in first half stoppage time while Nigeria international Victor Anichebe, a second half substitute, netted the equalizer three minutes from full time.
Midfielder John Obi Mikel , who started the game from the bench, was introduced in the 79th minute, six minutes after his compatriot, Anichebe.
With the draw, Arsenal will overtake their fellow Londoners if they defeat Manchester United on Wednesday night.
