Imoh Ezekiel Would Prefer To Play For Belgium
Published: February 20, 2014It remains unclear whether 20 - year - old Standard Liege forward Imoh Ezekiel would commit his international future to Nigeria.
Manager Stephen Keshi made the first official move to cap Ezekiel after naming him in the squad for the tune up game with Mexico in March.
Reports in Belgium strongly suggest that the highly rated starlet would prefer to don the colours of the Red Devils instead of the Super Eagles.
Het Laatste Nieuws says the House of Representatives have not locked up Ezekiel’s case in the drawer regarding his application for a Belgian passport despite a first refusal.
To that end, the lower house will review its decision on Thursday and make recommendations thereafter.
The former 36 Lion ace has spent the last two years in Belgium and theoretically does not qualify for a residence permit, a prerequisite for the issuance of a Belgian passport.
