36 Lion CEO, Gafar Liameed : Belgium Is Home For Imoh Ezekiel
Published: February 23, 2014The ongoing debate concerning the international future of Imoh Ezekiel will not hold much water unless the Standard Liege attacker is officially capped by either Belgium or Nigeria.
Manager Stephen Keshi has handed the former 36 Lion ace an invitation for next week’s friendly against Mexico.
It must be stated the exhibition match is an important tune up game ahead of the World Cup, thus, it is inconsequential in determining the colors Imoh Ezekiel will wear in future.
Per the rules and regulations of game’s governing body Fifa, Imoh Ezekiel can still play for the Red Devils even though he features against Mexico.
While the 20 - year - old’s priority is to represent Belgium, Gafar Liameed , CEO of 36 Lion, has insisted that his ward would benefit any of the countries he chooses.
Speaking earlier this month to DH.be, Gafar Liameed said : “Belgium is his second home. He really feels like a fish in water in your home.
“Keshi and Wilmots are both great coaches. Whoever has Imoh under him can count on a real warrior who wants to win all the battles in which he is engaged. ”
It had earlier been reported that Imoh Ezekiel turned down the chance to represent the Flying Eagles at the Fifa Under 20s held in Turkey last summer.
