FC Midtjylland Striker, Igboun : We Can Win The Title
Published: April 21, 2014FC Midtjylland have cut Aalborg’s lead in the Danish Superliga to just 1 point in the wake of their 5 - 2 trashing of Viborg on Monday afternoon, with Sylvester Igboun on target in the first half.
The 25th minute strike took his tally in the championship to 9 goals, his personal best since he arrived Denmark from nursery club FC Ebedei.
And he hopes to add to that achievement in the next couple of weeks if FCM win the league for the first time in their history.
“12 goals is my target this season and now I have scored 9 with 5 games left. I think I can make it.
“We are just a point behind Aalborg , so for me I think we can win the title. But we have to focus on our own game and make sure we win the remaining matches,” says Igboun to allnigeriasoccer.com.
He continued : “If we win the league, of course I will be so happy. And I plan to celebrate it with my family and friends. I know it is going to be crazy and I look forward to that”.
Sylvester Igboun has netted 3 goals in his last 4 matches for the Jutland based outfit.
