Falcons Star, Onome Ebi Saddened By Separation From Boyfriend
Published: April 23, 2014
FC Minsk stopper and Nigeria National Teamer Onome Ebi has confessed that she is finding it difficult adapting to her new environment in Belarus due to the language barrier.
On the recommendations of Falcons striker Gift Otuwe, in February, the experienced defender dumped Swedish club Sunnana SK and committed her future to Minsk for the remainder of this season.
“I noticed that your people are still trying to stay away, shut out, because if I speak to them, for example, with the question “how to get back and then” they are lost due to lack of English .
“I am smiling, trying to explain something and then admit that they do not understand. In general, the situation is quite comical.
“And catch the curious looks in stores, truck on the street. This is normal,” Onome Ebi told pressball.by.
Adding to he previous statement, the former Ataehir Belediyesi ace stated :
“Belarusian men are very orderly. Just do not ask to compare with the Nigerian. They are different. And they both are good in their own way.
“My parents have ten children. Saddens me more the separation from my boyfriend. He is Nigerian, but now lives in the United States. So hard to be at a distance.”
