Aaron Samuel Delighted With Recent Form
Published: May 04, 2014There are very few Nigerian strikers that possess the conversion rate of Sarpsborg 08 marksman Aaron Samuel at the moment.
The Norwegian Premier League second leading scorer notched up his fifth goal of the season and his third in four games as Sarpsborg 08 defeated Sandnes Ulf 2 - 1 in the seventh round, with the Nigerian scoring the match winner 15 minutes from time.
The 19 - year - old is delighted with his fine start to the season and has praised his teammates for contributing to his scoring streak.
“ I am happy with how I started the season, but I will not say I am surprised because I had a good pre - season which was a sign that I will do well when the championship begins.
“ When you keep scoring goals, it gives you a lot of confidence to even do better,” says Aaron Samuel to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I would like to thank my teammates for their assistance. No one player can start and finish a move from the defense to attack.
“ I want to keep working hard at training and not get heady. My main target is to play for the national team in my future so I want to keep doing well to get noticed by the handlers.” he concluded.
Aaron Samuel tested with Monaco in the January transfer window and though he has not been offered a contract yet, the Ligue 1 moneybags have not locked up his case in the drawer.
