Arsene Wenger Rates Super Eagles Ahead Of Bosnia, Tips African Champions For Second Round
Published: May 30, 2014
French coach of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, has tipped Argentina as nailed on favorites to get out of Group F and reach the knock out round of the World Cup.
The experienced manager rates Nigeria ahead of Bosnia Herzegovina in the race for second position, pointing out that the Eagles play more as a unit, and that quality is missing in the Dragons set up.
Speaking to Eurosport.com, the 64 - year - old said : “I don’t know about second place. I think that Nigeria might qualify for the second stage. They really made a good impression on me during the African Cup of Nations.
“They seem to have a really good team spirit, which is not always easy for African teams. They have less star players. They have a real team, and it’s been a while since that happened for them.”
For your information, Nigeria always qualify for the second round of the World Cup each time they win their opening match.
