Iran Coach, Carlos Queiroz Announces 23 - Man Roster
Published: June 01, 2014Iran coach Carlos Queiroz has named his 23-man squad for the World Cup but has included another player, Mohammad Reza Khanzadeh of Zob Ahan , on standby just in case fullback Hashem Beikzadeh fails to recover from injury before their first match against Nigeria.
The four players that have been axed from the roster earlier announced include Sousha Makani, Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari, Mehdi Sharifi and Sardar Azmoun.
An analysis of the squad list has shown that 3 goalkeepers, 8 midfielders, 6 midfielders and 6 strikers will make the trip to Brazil.
