Freddy Friday Still Adapting To Life In The Norwegian Premier League
Lillestrom attacker Freddy Friday has admitted that he is still learning the trade at the Norwegian Premier League club, having joined the side in the summer of 2013 from Bujoc Academy Lagos on a two - and - a - half - year contract.

Since making his debut for the Canaries last September, the 19 - year - old has featured 12 times in total for them in the league,  averaging 15.9 minutes per game.

In his first full season in the Tippeligaen, those statistics does not please him, and he wants more playing opportunities in subsequent matches.

“I have played nine games this season, and it is not easy for a beginner who has spent one year in the league. I need more playing time to adapt to their style of football.

“Norwegian football is different from what we play in Nigeria, they are faster here,”says Freddy Friday to allnigeriasoccer.com.

That said, the youngster has dropped a hint that he would love to continue plying his trade for Lillestrom, as he has been well received by the fans, coaches and teammates.

“Norway is a quiet and peaceful country and I know few words in Norske. They are nice people.

“I am very friendly with Ohi Omoijuanfo.Sometimes I go to his house and sometimes he comes to my house. I make Nigerian food for him and we eat together,” he concluded.

So far this season, Freddy Friday has suited up 9 times for Lillestrom in the championship.
