Three - Match Ban For MS Ashdod Striker Yero Bello After Striking An Opponent
Published: September 20, 2014
The Disciplinary Committee of the Israeli Football Federation has suspended Yero Bello, 26, for three matches following his red card in MS Ashdod’s goalless draw with Ironi Kiryat Shmona last weekend.
Thus, the attacker is automatically ruled out of games against Hapoel Haifa (Sept 20), Hapoel Tel Aviv (Sept 23) and Bnei Sakhnin (Sept 27).
Yero Bello was issued a straight red card in the 41st minute against Ironi Kiryat Shmona after elbowing an opponent in the face, 28 minutes after he was first cautioned by referee Eitan Shmuelevich.
The Israeli Federation punished him for the red card offense, and handed him an extra two - game ban for striking an opponent.
On the other hand, Nigeria left back Juwon Oshaniwa has been named in the provisional squad list to face Hapoel Haifa at the Sammy Ofer Stadium, and is in line to make his second straight start of the season.
