Kogi FA To Hold Fresh Elections

Fresh elections into the executive council of Kogi State Football Association will take place on February 26, 2015, its secretariat has announced.
The secretary of Kogi FA, Mr Augustine Ogunmola disclosed this after an executive meeting presided upon by the outgoing Chairman of the FA, Mr Adama Yahaya in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.
The FA among its resolutions fixed the collection of forms into their elective positions for January 5th, with submission of forms due for January 20th.
The body unanimously agreed that eligible delegations from five-listed Local government areas namely Lokoja, Okehi, Okene, Ogori-Mangongo, Ankpa and Dekina must have a registered football club.
Meanwhile, an eight-man electoral committee have been inaugurated to supervise the successful conduct of the elective congress and transition of the new board.
The constituted electoral committee will be chaired by a former Kogi FA boss, Alhaji Inuwa Umar, with sitting FA secretary Ogunmola will also serve as the secretary of the committee.
While Mr Noah A. Atede, Bayo Ilori, Barrister Sulieman Usman, Alhaji Isa T. Umar, Mr Sunday Daku, Mr Olatunji Memayin completed the list of members of the committee.
