Injured Bayern Munich Star David Alaba Nearing Comeback
Published: December 27, 2014Bayern Munich sports director, Matthias Sammer , has hinted that wing - back David Alaba will return to action in the new year.
The Austria international has spent close to two months on the sidelines due to partial tear of the medial collateral ligament and medial meniscus injury.
“David Alaba might need a few more days, but he’ll be back in the thick of it in the course of the training camp.
“I think the situation’s the same with Tom Starke,” Matthias Sammer told the official website, fcbayern.de.
David Alaba was involved in every competitive game contested by the German champions this season before injury curtailed his appearances.
He picked up the injury in the 2 - 0 win over Roma in the Champions League.
