Nigeria Qualify For AYC Final After Beating Ghana 2 - 0

The Flying Eagles have booked their place in the final of the African Youth Championship following their 2 - 0 win over the Black Satellites of Ghana at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
Nigeria survived a wave of early pressure from the Ghanaian team before opening scoring in the 22nd minute through Obinna Nwobodo, whose header off a cross from Ifeanyi Matthew beat goalkeeper Michael Sai.
Ten minutes later, Ghana would have leveled matters through Yaw Yeboah but his low shot hit the post.
Before the interval, the Flying Eagles best opportunity fell to Ifeanyi, with his free- kick missing target by inches.
In the second half, the midfielder was involved in the second goal netted by Nigeria after the referee awarded a penalty when he was fouled by Patrick Asmah.
For the fourth time in the tournament, skipper Musa Mohammed kept his cool to bury the spot - kick in the 70th minute.
Nigeria will await the winner of the other semi - final between Mali and Senegal on Thursday.
