Brown Ideye Reveals He Was Arrested When He Was Younger
Published: March 21, 2015
In a question and answer session with the official website of West Brom earlier this week, Brown Ideye confessed that he was arrested by the police in his teenage years.
But the former Dynamo Kiev striker later picked up the pieces, and became focused on his football career, going on to play for the Flying Eagles before making the squad list to the 2010 World Cup staged in South Africa.
“This might seem like a strange answer, but getting arrested when I was younger back home in Nigeria with my friends.
“It was a big disaster for me. It is funny to laugh about it now, but it was very serious at the time and I have definitely learnt from my mistake!” said Brown Ideye to the official website of The Baggies, wba.co.uk.
The 26 - year - old did not feature in West Brom’s 3 - 0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday due to a slight niggle.
In 19 outings for West Brom in the Premier League, Ideye has found the back of the net four times.
