Nigeria Federation Speaks Out Against Treatment Handed Out To Emenike By Fenerbahce Fans
The Nigeria Football Federation will write a letter to the Turkish Football Federation to express its dismay over the treatment handed out to Emmanuel Emenike by a group of Fenerbahce fans in the Istanbul derby against Besiktas on Sunday.

Recall that the Nigeria international asked to be substituted after he was insulted by his own fans, shortly after missing an opportunity to give the Yellow Canaries the lead.

But coach Ismail Kartal and administrative manager Hasan Cetinkaya managed to convince him to return to the pitch until the start of the second half.

“We condemn in its entirety the shameful conduct of the Fenerbahce FC fan and we demand that the club investigate this incident to fish out the fellow who taunted our international player.

“It is unacceptable to be racially abused on the field of play or anywhere for that matter, but for that abuse to come from your own club’s fan is the height of it,” NFF President Amaju Pinnick said on Tuesday, ” NFF President Amaju Pinnick said, according to thenff.com.

Emmanuel Emenike has not been called up by Nigeria for their upcoming games against Uganda and South Africa due to his poor form in the Turkish Super Lig.
