Published: March 25, 2015
Lille goalkeeper Vincent Eneyama , 32, has dropped a big hint that he is set to quit the national team.
The former Enyimba shot - stopper, who wore the Super Eagles jersey for the 100th time against Uganda, has revealed that he will hold roundtable talks with the national team handlers soon to sort out his international future.
After the World Cup in Brazil, there were speculations that Vincent Enyeama was set to announce his international retirement, but those suggestions were put to bed when he honoured the African Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Sudan.
“They are not rumours. I have to stop at some point, I can not keep playing until I get old.
“I have to stop at some point and then concentrate on my club football, for now I don’t know.
“100 in the bag. I am going to speak to the coaches, see the way forward because a whole lot of things have to be sorted out.
“We will sit down and we will sort things out, ” Vincent Enyeama told Charles Anazodo of Supersport.
