Published: March 26, 2015Speaking to the microphones of Supersport, Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama has voiced his frustration in the wake of the national team’s disgraceful loss to Uganda in a a Fifa sanctioned friendly game that marked his 100th appearance for Nigeria.
Looking for a perfect excuse, the 32 - year - old has pointed out the squad had a few training sessions before the contest at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, which contributed to their loss at the hands of the Cranes.
“A great disappointment but this is football. It is a training game, prestige is at stake okay, pride at stake okay.
“It is part of life. You saw we played with a new team, it’s got to take time for us to blend, for us to get to know ourselves, but this is football, ” said Enyeama.
The Super Eagles will be hoping to appease angry Nigerian fans when they face off against South Africa this weekend.
