Alex Iwobi Stars In Arsenal Win Over Brentford

On Tuesday, Arsenal continued their preparations for the vital Premiership clash against Liverpool at The Emirates on Saturday with a friendly against Brentford .
Due to the international break, The Gunners could not field their strongest possible line-up .
Instead, the likes of Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby, who were all returning from injury, plus several players in the Under 21 squad were given a run - out against the fellow Londoners.
Olympic National Team invitee Alex Iwobi seized the opportunity offered by the first team coaches by netting a first half brace in the 4 - 0 defeat of Brentford.
The 18 - year - old played for 68 minutes before he was replaced by England youth - teamer Austin Lipman.
