Asisat Oshoala Opens Liverpool Goalscoring Account After 117 Minutes Of Game Time
Published: April 02, 2015Asisat Oshoala was delighted to open her goalscoring account for FA Women’s Super League 1 champions Liverpool in their 2 - 1 win over Birmingham City Ladies on Wednesday.
The Nigeria international struck in first half stoppage time before she set up the second goal scored by Williams 18 minutes from time.
117 minutes was all it took for the Nigeria international to score here first goal in uniform of The Reds, having played for 73 minutes in her first game of the season against Sunderland.
“Great game, great goal, great assist, great team spirit, great fans, important win, deserved 3pts,” said Asisat Oshoala on Twitter.
Oshola, who is the reigning African Player of the Year, was replaced by Lucy Staniforth one minute from time.
