Super Falcons Start Training At National Stadium, Abuja
Published: April 02, 2015
The Super Falcons have started training at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium, Abuja ahead of their All Africa Games second leg, final round clash against Mali on Friday, April 10, officials have disclosed.
The African champions had been fine-tuning strategies under the guidance of coach Edwin Okon at Goal Project astro turf pitch before packing their bags to National Stadium.
“We decided to shift our training to the Main Bowl to enable the girls get used to playing on natural grass after several months of training and playing on astro turf.
“They can play anywhere but we want them to get used to the stadium and pitch which is where we will play our match next week that is why we changed base,” says Edwon Okon to thenff.com.
To make things easy, Nigeria will qualify for the games in Congo - Brazzaville if they do not concede against their opponents, having played a 1 - 1 draw in the first leg.
