Rilwan Hassan Happy To End Seven - Month Goal - Drought
Published: April 18, 2015
Nigerian winger Rilwan Hassan was delighted to get again on the score - sheet for log leaders FC Midtjylland in their hard fought 1 - 0 win over Silkeborg on Friday night.
Prior to his 73rd minute game - winner, Hassan had been searching for his first goal in the Danish Superliga since he hit the back of the net against Nordsjælland on September 21, 2014.
“It was great to score, for it is long since I’ve scored. I have focused on the decisive ones passing, but it was lovely even the score again.
“We knew the goal would come if we kept working hard. We thought all the time on it. They were compact and focused, but we are happy for the three points,” Hassan was quoted as saying by bold.dk.
Following the win, FCM are 14 points ahead of nearest challengers FC Copenhagen, who have played a game less.
