Nosa Igiebor Scores Against Hapoel Beer Sheva, But It Came With A Price As Midfielder Is Ruled Out Of Cup Final
Nosa Igiebor may be basking in the euphoria of scoring his first goal for Maccabi Tel Aviv since March 22, with the Super Eagles midfielder finding the back of the net in the 28th minute against Hapoel Beer Sheva.

Apart from being racially abused by a section of the Hapoel Beer Sheva supporters on Monday and some refereeing decisions that did not go his way, the other price he has to pay is that he will miss the State Cup final against yesterday’s opponents next week.

For the fifth time this season, Igiebor picked up a yellow card which has triggered an automatic one - game ban but the Nigerian will be allowed to take part in the game against Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Friday.

The Nigeria international previously entered the referee’s  notebook in matches with Ashdod, Hapoel Beer Sheva, Ironi Kiryat Shmona and Maccabi Netanya.

Remember that his injury time goal against Maccabi Haifa three years ago handed The Reds the State Cup.

Nosa will be disappointed not to feature in the Cup final after he was yellow carded for pulling the shirt of Hapoel Beer Sheva’s Israel international Maor Buzaglo.
