SHOCKER : Isaac Success And Moses Simon Stranded In Europe, Strikers Have No Visa To Enter New Zealand
Published: May 26, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Granada forward Isaac Success and Gent sensation Moses Simon are racing against the clock to arrive in New Zealand before the start of the Fifa Under 20 World Cup on May 30.
Nigeria Football Federation official, Nasiru Jibril, met up with the duo on Monday and handed both their international passports but without valid visas to New Zealand, meaning they can’t make the journey to Oceania for now.
Investigations by this website can reveal that it is not the fault of the NFF that the strikers were not issued the visas as they sent their passports late to the Nigeria Football Federation after the rest of the players named to the roster.
A Flying Eagles official traveled all the way to South Africa to process the traveling documents for the players and coaching staff, who are currently in New Zealand.
To prevent further delay, Success and Simon will be issued cable visas probably on or before the next 48 hours, according to NFF supremo Amaju Pinnick.
At the point of entry , New Zealand immigration will issue both a visa before linking up with the rest of the squad.
