Coach Amuneke Urges Golden Eaglets To Shape Up Or Ship Out
Published: May 26, 2015Ahead of the Fifa Under 17 World Cup, coach of the Golden Eaglets, Emmanuel Amuneke, has urged the players in camp to redouble their efforts if they want to make his roster for the tourney in Chile later this year.
At the CAF Under 17 Championship in Niger, the world champions failed to qualify for the final and could only finish fourth.
“What happened in Niger is now in the past but we can do much better in Chile if we are ready to work harder and be responsible in our conduct.
“We have the opportunity to show what we can do and I want to advise the older players to lead the way for others to follow,” Amuneke told thenff.com.
The team currently trains twice daily at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project pitch in Abuja.
