Real Salt Lake Defender Boyd Okwuonu And USA Lose To France In Toulon Opener
Real Salt Lake defender Boyd Okwuonu was in action for the Olympic Team of the United States on Wednesday afternoon against France in both countries opening fixture at the Toulon Tournament.

The USA conceded three goals against the hosts in the first half, with Jordan Morris scoring what turned out to be a consolation for the Americans in the 65th minute.

Okwuonu lasted the full distance and put up a strong showing in the second half after the USA defense failed to sparkle in the first stanza.

Another American player of Nigerian descent San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Fatai Alashe failed to come off the bench.

In their next fixture in the tourney, the United States will tackle Netherlands on May 29.
