Kogi United Duo Prove Mettle In NNL Tie
Published: May 28, 2015
When the match referee signalled the end of the Nigeria National League week two battle between Kogi United and Supreme Court, the duo of Salisu Ogbe and Joseph Jatau each had proved themselves well after the final scoreline was 0-0.
Ogbe, whose birthday was on match day performed well before injury forced him off the pitch, while substitute Jatau made four saves against the Apex Boys fluid and high pressure style.
Jatau, who was on the books of Supreme Court in the 2013/14 season, was happy to have showed what he is capable of doing and wished Ogbe a quick recovery.
“Before I was told to warm-up Salisu was outstanding in goal. He produced crucial saves that helped us,” Jatau said.
“It was painful seeing my team mates sustain an injury at a crucial stage of the match. I wish him a quick recovery. “Get well soon Salisu”.
“I was glad to step on the pitch, I think I played well and gave my best. I’m using this medium to thank the coaches for the opportunity,” the goal tender added.
Kogi United will host Yobe Desert Stars in the match day three of the NNL.
