Unbeaten Streak Delights FC Abuja Defender Ukoha
Published: May 30, 2015
After playing a crucial role in FC Abuja’s 2-0 win against JZ United in Kafanchan on Friday, rock-solid defender Ndubuisi Ukoha says he is happy with the club’s unbeaten start to the Nigeria Nationwide League campaign.
The promotion seeking team continued their unbeaten run in the 2015 NNWL season, and Ukoha feels they deserved the three points earned on the road.
“We came here with the intention to win and we played to win,” he said after the game. “One could see that we attacked as much as we could, we did our best and we controlled the game.
“We played against a team that had reliance and resistance, and who were well organised defensively. We did everything to dismantle the defence, and we scored two well taken goals.”
“The team is improving game by game. The general passing is improving, and I’m also happy that we are scoring at least one goal a game … that’s giving us hope,” the former TEAP FC central defender concluded.
FC Abuja have picked seven points from three matches and will host Lobi Junior in the match day four of the NNWL on 6th June 2015.
