Sylvester Igboun Plays Down Talk FC Midtjylland Have Run Out Of Gas
Published: June 01, 2015
Sylvester Igboun was disappointed that FC Midtjylland lost 1 - 0 away to Nordsjælland in the penultimate round of matches in the Danish Superliga.
The already crowned champions have managed only one win in their last five games but the Nigerian striker has played down suggestions that The Wolves have taken their feet off the pedal after winning the championship.
“ I do not think we relax. We still go on to win every time, but luck is not with us at the moment. We went on the field against FCN to win or at least to a point.
“It did not succeed, and that’s football. So one must look further to the next match.
“Maybe missing the last percentages, because we are already champions. I do not know, but I think we are trying to go for the win every time,” said Sylvester Igboun to bold.dk.
This season, Igboun has made 30 starts for FC Midtjylland, his highest tally since he arrived Denmark from nursery team FC Ebedei.
