Chidera Ezeh Admits Flying Eagles Failed The Nation As Squad Returns To Abuja On Saturday
Published: June 12, 2015Porto youth - teamer Chidera Ezeh was lost for words when asked to explain why the Flying Eagles failed to sparkle at the Fifa Under 20 World Cup.
Ezeh failed to make a single appearance at the World Cup, with Nigeria Under 20s coach Manu Garba preferring the trio of Taiwo Awoniyi, Saviour Godwin in the attack.
“I am disappointed I didn’t get to play . Of course, we failed the nation, ” Chidera Ezeh quickly told allnigeriasoccer.com before the Flying Eagles departed New Zealand on Friday night.
According to their travel itinerary , the plane bringing the squad back to the country will land in Abuja on Saturday.
Nigeria scored 8 goals at the World Cup, with Godwin Saviour, Isaac Success and Taiwo Awoniyi netting twice each.
