Obafemi Martins Comes Off Bench To Score For Seattle Sounders
Ex Super Eagles star Obafemi Martins returned to action in style by scoring in Seattle Sounders 3 - 0 defeat of FC Dallas in the MLS on Sunday.

The 30 - year - old had been doubtful for the game after having nose surgery last week but coach Sigi Schmid took a gamble and it paid off.

In the 73rd minute, Obafemi Martins received a pass from Andy Rose and despite being challenged by Kyle Bekker he struck his seventh goal of the season to give Seattle Sounders a two - goal advantage.

His goal arrived 12 minutes after he was subbed on for Brazilian attacker Thomas Jaguaribe Bedinelli.

Following the win, Seattle Sounders continue to lead the way in the Western Conference having accumulated 29 points after 15 rounds.
