Published: June 16, 2015
Liverpool starlet Asisat Oshoala is not quaking in her boots ahead of the showdown against one of the pre - tournaments favourites, USA, at the Fifa Women’s World Cup on Wednesday morning.
The 20 - year - old striker has opined that the Super Falcons’ aim of progressing to the round of 16 can be achieved if the attacking trident, which also includes the duo of Oparanozie and Ordega, score the needed goals by imitating Real Madrid’s Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale on the pitch.
“I want us to play like Real Madrid’s forwards! They’re very, very good, Benzema, Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
“We can be similar to them and I’d like us to play just like them as much as possible.
“As a front three we can be very dangerous and if we try to be like them, we’ll go very far in this tournament!”
The African champions have managed to qualify for the knock out round of the World Cup only once, back in 1999.
