Super Falcons Skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku Banking On Divine Intervention To Beat United States
Published: June 16, 2015
Super Eagles skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku has refused to throw in the towel and fancies the national team’s chances of qualifying for the second round of the Women’s World Cup.
Defeat to Australia has left the African champions with a mountain to climb and they will be eliminated from the tournament on Wednesday morning if they fail to beat the United States.
“By God’s grace, today will mark our first-ever victory over the USA,” Nwabuoku told thenff.com.
“We are going to give our all and by God’s grace we will win and qualify for the next round.”
