Obafemi Martins Scores As Seattle Sounders Lose To Portland Timbers

Obafemi Martins scored his second goal in three days but it was not enough, with Seattle Sounders losing 3 - 1 to Fanendo Adi’s Portland Timbers.
Both Nigerians made the starting XI for their respective teams in the tie held at Starfire Sports Complex Stadium (Tukwila, Washington).
After 79 minutes, former Inter Milan and Newcastle striker Martins cancelled out Diego Valeri’s 48th minute goal.
In extra time, Rodney Wallace and Maximiliano Urruti netted a goal apiece to seal victory for Portland Timbers.
Fanendo Adi was subbed out in the 95th minute, ten minutes after Martins was substituted after picking up an injury.
