Viking Striker Samuel Adegbenro Ends 261 - Minute Goal Drought
Samuel Adegbenro ended his mini goal drought by netting in the 35th minute as Viking thrashed Dominic Chatto’s Bodø / Glimt in the 14th round of matches in the Norwegian Premier League.

The former Kwara United youngster spent 261 minutes on the pitch without finding the back of the net, with his last strike prior to Sunday afternoon’s clash coming in the surprise 2 - 1 win over Molde on May 4.

Despite failing to hit the heights expected of him in the last three matches, manager Kjell Jonevret named Adegbenro in his starting XI for the seventh time this season against Bodø / Glimt.

And he repaid his manager’s faith by scoring in the 35th minute to give Viking a three - goal cushion before the intermission.

Flying Eagles striker Suleiman Abdullahi was subbed out in the 63rd minute while Adegbenro left the pitch 8 minutes from time.
